Eco-Discovery Shop

The Eco-Discovery Shop is our adventure head quarters. We stock a fantastic range of alternative energy products for hikers and campers. In store you’ll find solar chargers for digital cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players and GPS systems. Our wind-up torches and lanterns, and wind-up and solar powered radios, are popular items with campers and hikers, and are essential items in any household emergency kit.

When sourcing products for the Eco-Discovery shop, we look for quality products that also meet the ethical values that underpin our business. For example, Freeplay actively donates its products to the developing world and its lanterns and radios have been put to good use in recent international humanitarian assistance programmes. That’s one reason we stock them as well as fair-trade products like Etiko balls and New Internationalist T-shirts.

We also have a great range of maps and guidebooks to the region, as well as souvenirs and cards, including the popular Earth Greeting range of Australian bird and animal greeting cards, all printed on recycled paper.

Our wonderful range of children’s toys and games are a great hit with locals and visitors alike. We aim to get kids excited about the great outdoors with science and nature kits, bug viewers, telescopes, binoculars, and discovery kits. Our kites are a family favourite.
